Sorry for not updating on my journal entry, but last year, 2012, was a whirlwind of bullshit on more bullshit.

For starters, the 2012 year started out good which I went to MegaCon last February and it was fun except for the continuous pain of my feet due to my boot to my re-vamped steampunk cosplay. Even with that pain, I did have fun with my beautiful friend, Sandra and new guy friends from North Carolina. I still do miss her when she went back to her new home in North Carolina. I hope she will come back down here to Orlando some time this year.

Now for the bullshits that summed up the rest of last year. Due to bullshit that my government cut a good deal of funding of its college grants and new guidelines for financial aid. My school insists that it did inform me of the new reality to financial aid at the beginning of last year, but in truth they buried the new information in the email have this information.

So, here is the new information of financial aid:

Pell Grant: The old access to this grant was 9 years of fund with this grant if you fit into the guideline of having it. Now, we cut it down to 6 years of access. That a whole three years aid cut about 33%.

New Federal degree cap: All of colleges and universities make their own cap of credit which you need to finish your degree or lose aid if you pass the cap. My government decided to make a universal degree cap to make it more simple for the government to give the aid money to the schools. So, the new is 180 credits in one lifetime.

So, I lost my Pell Grant at the end of last year's Spring term and we was going to cancel my aid completely at the beginning of last Fall term, without any wrong. Due to that I had 172 credit under my belt, which all of the credits from State College and my University credits. So, I appealed and I was approved to keep my aid, which is only student loans, but my school put a guideline on me that I can not drop any classes from there to when I graduate.

Sadly, I felt I was having a noose around my neck due to this rule and as a result, I failed to two of my four classes in last Fall term. Now, my aid is completely gone. I am still a bit angry due I should not put on cancellation in the first place, which only had 172 credit at the beginning of term. I know I might hit passed the 180 credit cap at the end of last term, but they could done that when I did passed 180 credits.

So, that sums up my year of 2012 which it did suck and elections sucked too.

I will add a new journal which it will be on my thoughts on cosplay and give hints on what will be my new cosplays will be.
